The Backroads Farmstand Crawl is a self-guided adventure through local farmstands, roadside bakeries, nurseries, agritourism destinations, and small rural businesses across Chowan and Perquimans Counties. Many of these places are family-owned businesses tucked away on country roads that most people drive past every day without ever knowing they’re there.

Spend the day exploring backroads, meeting local growers and makers, finding fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, honey, plants, handcrafted products, and more while supporting the small businesses that help keep our rural communities thriving.

Our first-ever Backroads Farmstand Crawl was an incredible success, bringing hundreds of visitors to discover local farms, makers, and hidden gems. Now we're bringing that same excitement to FALL! We're looking for unique destinations to become an Official Stop on the Backroads Fall Crawl Y'all. This is a "Vend in Place" event — shoppers travel to YOUR location throughout the day. There are NO vendor fees and NO central setup. Just open your doors, be stocked, and welcome visitors! We're looking for: • Nurseries & Garden Centers • Flower Farms & Flower Stands • Produce Stands & Farm Markets • Orchards & Apple Cider • Bakers & Home Bakeries • Artists & Crafters • Makers & Handmade Goods • Honey Producers • Specialty Food Vendors • Farms with Animal Experiences • Agritourism Destinations • Musicians & Bluegrass Bands • Photo Opportunities • Corn Mazes, Hayrides & Family Activities …and anyone offering a unique fall experience our community will love! Saturday, December 12, 2026 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM Chowan, Perquimans, Pasquotank & Camden Counties, NC

I NEED VENDORS! Sign up to be on the trail, vend in place, let's do something that's NEVER been done! My goal is to get families in their vehicles to look at Christmas lights, sip on hot cocoa, listen to the beautiful voices of Christmas carolers, shop and support local! If you make, bake, grow, play music, have animals, have a belly that shakes like a bowl full of jelly, want to run around in a Grinch suit, or decorate like The Griswolds — I NEED YOU ON THIS TRAIL! We're covering Chowan, Perquimans, Pasquotank, and Camden areas with as many stops as possible. Looking for: Crafters, Artists, Bakers, Makers • Produce Stands • Christmas Carolers • Hot Cocoa Bars • Homes decorated for the holidays • Holiday Experiences (Santa, photo ops, animal encounters) • Unique people/places offering wonderful experiences for families along the trail!
